A word from Micheline Marcoux - Membership Committee Chairman:

My goal for the membership committee is to try our best to reach 100% membership from parents and teachers. Ask all potential members to join. This goes beyond mom and/or dad. Ask aunts, uncles, grandparents and friends to join. A strong PTA leads to a better school which in the long run leads to better property values. The #1 reason people don't join is because they were never asked to join PTA!!!!!!

Plans for my committee include:
Make new members feel welcome

Set up membership tables for people to join PTA

Hold competitions among grades and classes for most memberships collected.

How will it work?
New members packets will include a welcoming letter, opportunities to volunteer, coupon discounts, and a calendar of events for the 2011-2012 school year.

Membership tables will be set up at all school functions such as Elementary Registration, Kindergarten Orientation, Meet and Greet your teacher, Open House, etc. to give every opportunity for members to join the PTA.

Plan a pizza or other type of party for the class/grade that collects the most membership forms.

When/Where do I need help?
Volunteers to help work membership tables throughout the school year.
